Introduction:
Zhenshan Hill, 649m high, is 3km to the west of Sihui City. Zhenshan Hill Tourist Area boasts green peaks rising one higher than another, zigzag ravines, and tranquil ponds. The mountain is extremely green and elegant after rain. As early as in the Ming Dynasty, Zhenshan Hill was well known for its unique scenery after rain.
There are three ponds and hanging waterfalls, which run all the year round, in Zhenshan Hill. The streams in the hill produce unique paludina and fish, which is half white and half brown, in addition to many weirdly, shaped rocks --one like a bowl and another like a dressing table. Legend has it that they were all left by immortals.
Highlight:
An old story goes like that on the ninth day of the ninth lunar month in the 17th year of the Zhenyuan Reign Period of the Tang Dynasty (801), a virtuous woman, whose surname was Wen, Became an immortal. Later local people constructed a shrine to commemorate her. The tourist attractions in the scenic area include the memorial archway, Wangxiang Pavilion, Shrine to the Virtuous Woman, Tianyin Pagoda, etc.
