Shangyu Introduction

　　Shangyu has a history of more than 2200 years from its establishment as a county in 222BC. It is the hometown of Dayu, an ancient famous king in China history. It is also the world famous cradle of celadon.        Shangyu lies in the northeast of Zhejiang Province, it is 62Km from Ningbo to the east, 72 Km from Hangzhou to the west, and it joins Hangzhou Gulf northwards and is opposite to Shanghai City merely by a river.
